Positive Reinforcement

POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT uses classical & operant conditioning to train behaviors.

When training a new behavior the trainer 'marks' a desired behavior with voice or clicker; then rewards dog with a treat or toy (operant conditioning).  The trainer simply  IGNORES undesired behaviors.

GOALS OF POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT

1)  To train a thinking dog:
      A thinking dog is one who learns behaviors by making decisions.

2)  To make each training session happy & positive for both dog & trainer;

3)   To end each training session with dog feeling happy,  satisfied, & looking forward to the next training session.
